Mark Shipley
I started running in my late 20's in order to check off a bucket list item of completing a marathon, and then much to my surprise, I found out that I love it. Being a competitive person, I like races and testing myself, but even more than that I love just going for a run. No matter how badly a day goes, it's always better after a run. I'm primarily a long distance runner, having completed 10 marathons and 2 50K's, and I'm currently chasing a Boston Marathon qualifying time. I also train for and race at all distances from 5K and up. I've mentored many runners helping them to complete marathons and half marathons through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program, and I am also a certified running coach with the Road Runners Club of America.
